Questions about Dali
What is Dali?
Dali is the AI assistant built into Modality. Staff ask it questions in plain English about patients, census, admissions, billing, and operations, and it can draft notes and propose changes inside the same platform.
Can Dali change a patient’s chart by itself?
No. Every change Dali suggests appears as a proposal with an Apply button. Nothing is written until a person approves it, and permissions are checked again at that moment.
What data can Dali see?
Only what the signed-in user is allowed to see in Modality, limited to their facility unless their role covers more.
Is Dali HIPAA compliant?
Dali runs inside Modality under the same Business Associate Agreement as the rest of the platform, and patient data is processed on HIPAA-eligible infrastructure.
Does Dali replace clinicians?
No. Dali drafts and looks things up so clinicians and staff spend less time on paperwork. Clinicians review and sign their own notes.
