We ran the facilities first.
Modality didn't start as a software company. It started inside working behavioral health facilities, residential and outpatient, run by our founding team. We lived the daily reality of legacy EHRs: clunky charting, billing systems that hid the revenue cycle, and compliance managed in spreadsheets and binders.
So we built the platform we wished existed, and ran our own facilities on it. Every module, from admissions and charting to medications, bed management, billing, and HR, earned its place because real staff needed it on a real shift. When something didn't work, we felt it before any customer ever could.
Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, we now offer that same platform to private practices, outpatient programs, and residential facilities across the country.
